Downtown Food & Wine Festival judges had their say today when the 2014 Golden Fork winners were announced.
MIX 105.1’s Jay Edwards, along with News 13 meteorologist Maureen McCann took to the stage this afternoon prior to the Three Dog Night performance to announce the winners.
The Foodie Award recognizes the best food item of the Downtown Food & Wine Festival for taste, unique flavor, and culinary excellence. This year’s Foodie Award was presented to Smiling Bison for their pretzel bread pudding.
The 2013 Best Overall Menu winner, awarded for a menu with diverse, creative offerings for a myriad of tastes, went to Kasa Tapas & Raw Bar.
Siro at Marriott World Center received the 2014 Best of Show Award for the second year in a row. The Best of Show Award recognizes the fun factor, overall energy, and crowd vibe generated by the winner.
Judges for the 2014 Downtown Food & Wine Festival included Allison Walker of Central Florida News 13, Meredith McDonough of WESH 2, Lauren Johnson of FOX 35, Scott Richardson of The Park Press, Bo Outlaw, Orlando Magic Community Ambassador, Pat Dellacona of the Downtown Development Board, Mark Baratelli of The Daily City, and Orlando Weekly contest winner Jason Zimmerman.
