The Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association Educational Foundation is the only organization in Florida that offers the ProStart program, the Lodging Management Program and the Skills, Tasks and Results Training program.
These programs were developed to increase the quality and employability of today’s high school graduates by providing them with training related to important job skills as well as opportunities for careers and higher education.
Students are introduced to careers in foodservice and lodging and are taught basic skills needed for success in these industries. This is accomplished through dynamic and comprehensive curriculums coupled with on-the-job training.
Hospitality & Culinary AS/AAS Degree & Certificate Programs
Valencia offers the only two-year degree-granting culinary program in Orlando. Students utilize a 61,000 square foot facility that includes classrooms, banquet rooms and a high-tech demonstration kitchen with 20 fully equipped workstations.
Instruction ranges from sanitation to nutritional analysis to the basic elements for great classical, international and American cuisine. Career opportunities within this field can be found in an array of establishments from hotels to theme parks, schools to hospitals and private catering too.

The foodservice industry is the nation’s number one private employer. Students that have business savvy and a passion for food, find the program emphasizes design, catering, franchise development, food preparation, cost controls and more.
The professors are restaurant and foodservice experts That will position students with the technical and managerial skills they need for success in this delicious industry.
